The Pulleys Invade Texas

Last weekend, the whole Pulley clan traveled down to our house from Fayetteville to spend some quality time hanging out with us and to welcome Sara Amerson home from China. We took an opportunity to shoot some cool shots of Kennedy and the kiddos had fun playing with the kitties (Frankie and Kujo) and the horses.

Saturday night we went over to Greg and Debra Amersons to give a big welcome home to Sara…who has been in China for about 3 years. We had such a great weekend and it’s fun to see Kennedy and Ayan continue to grow and play together. Enjoy the pictures!

GO Broken Arrow Pride! Sweep Nationals!

My neices, along with the Pride Marching Band of Broken Arrow, head off to Indianapolis this week to Grand Nationals Competition.  Their show is amazing so I think they have an amazing chance to win it all.  We’re hoping for a big win!  Good Luck BA!

My Nieces

My sister Becky’s daughters are growing up way faster than I can keep up with so we went up to Broken Arrow for the weekend to see them march and see the Broken Arrow Pride compete in the OBA band competition (BA swept every category).  Manessah is a rookie clarinet in Pride but looked like a seasoned vet.  Kylie plays the french horn and mellophone in Tradition marching band.  Manessah just turned 16 and Kylie will be 15 in January.  I am so proud of these girls and they have become beautiful young ladies!

Kitten Explosion!

You may have seen in a post earlier this month that we got 2 little kittens named Frankie and Kujo (the ultimate mouse destroyer). Well, at the same time (unbeknownst to us), one of our neighbor cats decided our barn was a great place to raise a new family of 6 little kittens.

Granted, they are really, really cute, but we are going to leave them as barn cats. But…I wanted to get a few pictures of them while they were little. As soon as I walked into the barn…the kittens came out of the woodwork (literally). They are extremely playful and really curious, but they still have the instinctual hatred of dogs (Kip) and they have found an unlikely friend and guardian in the horses on our land (Ellie and Wicka). You definitely want to check out the whole set of pictures…but here are a few.

More Halloween Fun @ The Heights Fall Festival.

Last Wednesday night we headed over to north Dallas with the Suttons and the Scheuchzers to The Heights (where Scott’s mom is the Childrens Ministry Director).  Ayan showcased his Elmo costume againk, Millie was a princess, Ben was a Star Wars warrior, John Campbell was just stinkin’ cute and Ella and her little sis Olivia were cats.

It was the cutest little pack of kids you ever saw.  The night started with the kids jumping on some little inflatables and then moving over the huge inflatable slide…then it moved on to completely ignoring the parking lot full of awesome inflatables and running around a tree and up and down a curb for over an hour.  It’s amazing what entertains kids huh?  Anyways…I can’t say enough how awesome our friends are and how much we love hanging out with them.  Ayan is going to grow up with a great group of friends and a wonderful church family.

And…what would a story be without pictures?

What a crazy year in the BIG XII!

Congrats go out to all my Red Raider friends and condolences to my Longhorn buddies.  But…overall, no matter who you root for in the Big 12 – what a year it is for the Big XII south.

Oklahoma State comes out of nowhere with a team that could easily be one of the top 3 teams in the nation right now.  Tech posts sick numbers almost every game.  Texas is solid again.  Oklahoma is great.  Baylor has a great quarterback – seriously, can it get any better?

I submit to you that it can.  Oklahoma State’s hopes lie in 2 events – we beat Tech this weekend and then beat Colorado and OU.  Then, Tech loses to OU.  I’m afraid Texas will win out.  So, that would leave Texas, Tech & OSU in a 3 way tie in the big 12 south.  Then, it would go to the highest BCS ranked team – and if we win out – I have no doubt we’d be ranked #1 in the nation because I believe Alabama and Penn State will lose 1 game each.

So…that leaves me hoping for a miracle – and glimpses of the good ol’ boys from Stillwater playing in a national championship game for the first time EVER!  I can’t even fathom it…but folks, it could happen.

Hats off to all the teams in the big 12 south – but I still despise OU. :)
